CARROT CURRY MADE EASY


Ingredients

Carrot - 4
Salt to taste
Moong dal - 2 tsp

channa dal  - 1/2 tsp
green chillies - 1 or 2
curry leaves - 1 sprig
grated coconut - as desired
mustard & urad dal for seasoning
turmeric powder - a little
sugar ( optional )
oil

Method

Grate carrots.

soak moong dal and channa dal for 5 -10 minutes.

Heat a kadai. Add some oil. Add mustard seeds and
urad dal. When urad dal becomes golden brown add
curry leaves, grated carrot. Drain water from soaked dal
and add the dal mix.
Add salt and turmeric powder. Mix well together.

No water to be added.

Close it with a lid and cook on very low fire. Stir it occassionaly till done. It will take 5 to 6 minutes.
Add grated coconut and sugar ( if needed ).
Mix well and remove from fire.
